Website Design Services

Most of the websites I design are for informational purposes, communicating with your website visitors, appointment scheduling and/or a few products for sale via the PayPal e-commerce platform, ie. books, supplements, etc.

I exclusively use WordPress with a Unix hosting service that utilizes Cpanel. I’ve been using these services for many years and quite familiar with them. This makes for quick, effective setup, development and maintenance. The more time I save, the more money you save. I also use a WordPress theme that is highly customizable for a wide range of layouts, which I’m licensed to use for developing client websites. I will not charge you for the license nor use of the theme.

Baseline Pricing

The baseline pricing for a 5-page website (most popular) includes the Home page, About, Services, Contact page with web from, and one more page of your choice (with the exception of a product page or blog because additional work is required. All pages include basic search engine optimization (SEO). This price does not include the design of custom graphics, logos, licensing of stock photos nor the list of “extras” below.  … $575

Extras

These services are optional extras, and therefore not included in the 5-page website package and are $125 an hour unless otherwise stated:

  • Each additional page is $85.
  • Graphic design
  • Stock photo licensing – pricing varies. I generally work with Shutterstock as they have the largest selection in high resolution photos and graphics. They offer various sizes and have reasonable licensing fees. You may not need to license photos. I have several sources of free, public domain stock photo resources at my fingertips; we can collaboratively search for the best options for your website.
  • Integration of your social media accounts
  • Blog
  • Setup of email through your domain
  • Design and layout consultation
  • Attractive color scheme selection consultation
  • Setting up an appointment booking service on your website
  • Teaching you how to create/edit blog posts
  • A step by step walk through using screen sharing via live video chat as you purchase your domain name and hosting service

I’d be happy to speak with you to discuss the price of these extra services. I charge an hourly fee of $125, however, I am quite happy to adjust my pricing for projects with the need for several extra services.

If any money remains from the quote, after your website has been set up, it will be used as a retainer fee for future website changes and/or consultations.

Additional Expenses (at your cost):

  • Domain name – I recommend GoDaddy.com. This is an annual fee.
  • Website hosting – I can recommend a few that I have worked with for many years that are reasonably priced for small websites with low-moderate traffic. This is usually a monthly fee unless you prefer to pay annually.
  • You provide all page content. I highly recommend hiring an editor or ghostwriter if writing is not your forte’. I can recommend an editor who will check spelling, grammar and sentence structure, in addition, making sure it flows properly. I can also recommend a ghostwriter who will interview you by phone, and write your page content for you.

What I Don’t Do:

  • Due to time restraints, I am unable to instruct you on how to use your computer or the internet
  • Likewise, I do not edit the page content for spelling, grammar, or sentence structure. Your text is used as provided. You are solely responsibly for the legality of the page content you provide me. It is against copyright law to plagiarize someone’s content.
  • I only provide basic search engine optimization (SEO): Search engine friendly page titles, meta keywords, meta descriptions, and H tags.
  • I do not create websites using heavy graphics, heavy animations or background music, because I believe the average visitor to your site will find these features distracting, taking too long to full load the page. Most of the world does not have access to high speed internet service providers. Visitors to your website want information about what you do, why they should choose you. I believe that websites should always be clean with lots of white space and easy to navigate. Most people will not remember your graphics, but they will remember YOU and the services you provide.

What You Can Expect From Me:

My objective is to work with you in integrity and honesty to create your website in a reasonable amount of time, saving us both time and money, and so that it is functional, easy to navigate for visitors, and provides them the information they need with ease.

My desire is for you to be successful in your business endeavors. I will keep a keen eye on what we determine are the best features for your website, and advise you of your options and why those options may or may not be important to your overall business objective.
